The Mountains are calling!
I’m really starting to get excited about summer coming!
I’ve got a few hikes planned with some friends and their families this year. First day hike coming up in a week!

Last year my family and I decided to take on backpacking/hiking as our new summer recreation. We accomplished 2 day hikes and 3 overnight backpacking trips. It was fun getting into it, figuring out what gear to buy and to find it at the best price. A friend of mine I used to work for gave me a bunch of gear he could no longer use. What a blessing. When you have 4 kids every bit helps! Anyway I almost killed myself and 4 friends on a 2500 ft elevation gain hike. Should have worked up to that one . Picture on the right is from that hike.

I’m also planning on a section hike of the Pacific Crest Trail next summer 09′ going from Stevens Pass to Snoqualime.
